Maybe you need to try FlyakiteOSX 3.0 or 2.0 or 1.0 and other version to unistall it.

I say MAYBY........

Does anybody know if the logon pics are safed in the logonui.exe? Or is a cache behind?

Sorry for my english ...

the original graphic's file is ntoskrnl.exe in windowssystem 32. But C:boot.ini is modified. It take osxboot.exe as new graphic's file in the same folder.

For me, for example, in boot.ini, "multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professionnel" /noexecute=optout /fastdetect /kernel=ntoskrnl.exe" is became "multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professionnel" /noexecute=optout /fastdetect /kernel=osxboot.exe"

Sorry but that is incorrect. ntoskrnl.exe controls the boot screen. logonui.exe controls the logon / Welcome Screen.

To get it back, the easiest thing to do is to obtain a copy of a clean logonui.exe from a friend/co-worker or whoever. Just make sure the version numbers are the same (check the properties window). Then, use Replacer (Google it, first result) to replace the file.

Easy.

Hi, i have a copy of the logonui.exe, opened the files with reshacker.exe, can see the correct windows pics, copied the files in dos mode to the system32 directory, but nothing changed.

I´m not sure if the correct version numbers are necessary.

To be not confused, i´m talking about this pic:

LogonScreen.gif

Hope, that somebody can help me.

Are the pictures cached somewhere?

#358595

Yeah, dllcache. It's either in Windows or WindowsSytem32.

Well that image, no that is not in logonui.exe. logonui.exe controls the Welcome Screen style logon. THe picture you are refering to is controlled by msgina.dll. Just like before, obtain a clean copy of the file and use Replacer to replace it.

And dllcache is in system32 (it's a hidden system directory).
