Okay so I just purchased WB yesterday and I'm having a bit of an issue with Jemaho's Vista 1.3 skin. I have it running fine on my home PC, but my work PC doesn't seem to allow for the transparency and only shows the opaque skin with Express buttons. The opacity is true for KOl's skin, and Advali's Glass skin as well. Not only that but it doesn't even give me the option for clear glass, just opaque black?! Also if install a skin my right click fly out menus turn black. I'm running Brico's Vista inspirat as well. Any suggestions would be much apprieciated. I've reinstalled WindowBlinds twice now and still no effect.
Screeny attached.
[Help] WB Skins not showing transparency
skins don't have different substyles for translucent and non-translucent title-bars. You should check the info and see if your cards support alpha-channels on WB skins. My sister's comp has a Radeon 9250 video card. Transparency works well, unless she switches to a resolution higher than 1024x768.
Resolution didn't fix the problem either. My card is a Radeon 7000 VE. Skins that have transparent borders around explorer that come with WB work fine for me so I don't think its a card issue either. Thanks fro the suggestions though, keep em' coming... hope to figure this out. :slant:
Edit: Hold on this might be a card issue after all. Only the Taskbar and Start menu seem to be transparent even on the preinstalled WB skins and not explorer. Can anyone confirm this? Is there a list of supported hardware? Thanks

The Radeon 7000 is a very, very old card... which probably explains your difficulties. See if you can install the Omega Drivers. If you can, and the hardware doesn't COMPLETELY suck, you should be able to get alpha blending going.
If not, upgrade. The GeForce 6600 is around $100 these days, and is far and away much better than the thing you're running.
Yeh, I dont think a Radeon 7000 VE has alpha blending support, i would suggest exactly what Desides said.
Yep it's gotta be the card guys. Just found out that they took it from an old machine I was using. Funny I'm using a HP Workstation xw4200 with 2GB of memory, Pentuim 4, 3.40GHz, and was wondering why it felt sooooo slooooow. I work as a graphic designer, you'd think I'd have a better card?! I'll suggest an upgrade. Thanks! ![]()
i just got a new laptop and was having a similar issue.... it turns out the transparency doesnt work with 16bit colors.... so you might want to go to settings and make sure it is 32bit...

Yeah, good point. I have a intergrated intel card, and I can get ti working, so, it's gotta be your drivers.
