[help] save as on a mac

flab-dabbin' grapple flazzle dadgummit!

okay, obviously, i am just stupider than a super-model. i have 2 folders on my osx desktop: 'docs old' and 'docs new.' i want to open some word documents in the 'old' folder, make a change, and then 'save as' into the 'new' folder. but, the freakin' location drop down doesn't have the 'new' folder listed and there is no browse.

how can i perform this moronically simple task?

10.4.4, office 2k4.

save it to the desktop then drag it into the new folder

thx, junior. yeah, i realize that that's an option. now, it's just a matter of principle. is it possible to do what i'm asking?

I think you a just using the drop down that has the locations from your finder sidebar desktop, username etc. To open full browse mode there should be a little arrow pointing down next to where you type the file name click that and it should come up with a browse menu that looks like finder
