[help] Flyakite OSX 3 and exe filetype icons

I installed the v 3.0 and I tried to change the MS Outlook icon putting the same default icon of Outlook Express (the con of Mail).

Now what I have is that all the icons of exe programs in the start menu and on the Desktop have THIS icon!!! I tried to change it but if I right-click on "Chang Icon" I obtain the message "you cannot change the icon of executable file"

I tried to uninstall but even back in XP I'm not able to change this fu...ing icon. I re-installed again flyakite and nothing nothing nothing.

Any suggestion please???

Google for the Program "Icon Tweaker".

This Tool might help you changing, the icon's to whatever you like, even to restore the original one. I hope this helps...

i tried rebuilding icon cache but nothing happened.

All the exe files and shortcuts on desktop and in the Strart Menu/Programs show the same icon. Just some programs don't. Moreover, whnever I install new programs and let them install an icon on desktop, the icon is still the same.

I'm becoming crazy....

try to use reshacker to change the icon or use IconPackager

I was having the exact same problem. To fix this, go to this key in windows registry:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOTexefileDefaultIcon

and change the value to "%1". Close regedit and restart windows. It should fix the problema.
