Aqua-Soft ForumsI am trying to figure out how you managed to control itunes via scripting so I could look at applying it to control winamp. How would one go about this, the fact no-one has made a control for this suggests it is hard to make one?

I think someone should write a plugin to winamp which allows you to remote control winamp, because I don't think there is such of plugin.

Trouble is I would have no idea on how to implement it

I've been meaning to do this, but keep switch back to coding the scripter.
It can be done. I had it running in a sample on my pc... I've had a few people ask and I really want to do it... but keep pushing it.
But I'll do it this week, if you send me a couple of "allowed" graphics with a template of what/how you want it to work...
I was gonna start working on winamp remote but i never go around to it either.
I have made a script for sysstats that grabs info from winamp. check it out here
and if you use winampcc an exe that allows you to controll winamp it eventuallys turns into a winamp remote. ya i know its a sloppy way of doing it. but i got lazy. 
There is already a plugin for winAmp that allows for scripted remote control:

i had this design laying around but i never got to scripting it cuz i don't know how to access the WinAmp COM decently, i don't like getting plugins in order for it to work.
send me a pm with the design files or something... I'm very sure I can make a winamp version work with out COM! I remember testing it and it worked. Limited ability, but had the basic stuff
Yeah, there's no COM needed since AveScripter can send messages
ok,plugins and other thing, but you will need a receiver too, attached to the computer
I got all the code typed up and working for winamp with no com interface. Keep in mind that this has limited ability but it does work..
I'll be releasing it very soon. Just need graphics. I can't draw for the life of me, hoping Crank will give me everything unless someone else also wants one and can send it to me.

EDIT: just sent pcm a link to my new design, looks good tho i might have to redo the play/pause and other main buttons
