multi plugin worked last time i used it....

i used multi plugin for a while about a year ago, before i moved completely from itunes to foobar. i have recently been debating whether or not to switch back. there are many advantages to using itunes for me, but i need gapless playback. does using itunes with the foobar engine allow this, or can it not be done until apple implements it?

i've now got itunes 6.0.1.3, and i installed the latest version of multi plugin (2.2), but no sound comes from itunes when i check "use foobar pasthrough" or whatever the option is. what am i doing wrong? i don't remember it being very difficult last time. for now i'm back to foobar.

iTunes has had gapless playback for ages.

i just tried it and no, it doens't have gapless playback. there is a brief pause between tracks, which can be easily detected when listening to any tracks which blend together as are often found on pink floyd albums and a lot of trance/ambient music

not on my itunes.. i have ripped mixed music cds to tracks, and there is no gap when i listen to them. perhaps you ripped your cd with a delay between tracks.

well, i ripped the files with eac, but that shouldn't cause gaps.

Yes it does have gapless playback. Just set iTunes to crossfade track and set it to 0 secs.

yeah, that works. it's a bit weird as the next song comes in a fraction of a second into the music, but it can be ignored, but i may very well switch back to itunes soon.

If you set the time to 0 songs don't overlap.

even at zero it doesn't work perfectly for me, but it's close enough.
