This topic is about whether you would use avedesk, or Yahoo Widget engine.
Now i don't mean to critisize, pun, demean, or lower esteam about avedesk.
I show full support for avedesk (and other ave programs) and am simply asking whether you would use avedesk, yahoo widget (aka samurize), or somthing else and state why.

okay...
first, why do i have to use just one? i use avedesk and samurize together.
second, yahoo widgets is not aka samurize. yahoo widgets is aka konfabulator.
third, are you asking for any particular reason?
Well honestly i wanted someone to give me their honest idea because i like it whenm i only need to use 1 program to get the best of everything.
And btw, didn't yahoo by samurize? because konfabulator is the original version for mac.
I use both also AveDesk is a wonderful app I know for now I only code with Yahoo widget but that is because I have alot more control over things like the context menu but I run both on my system and always will.
I use AveDesk and YWE all at the same time. I don't have a personal favorite because they both do certain things well. And shmengie's right, Yahoo! bought Konfab some time ago and it's been avaliable for Windows since about version 1.8.

I've tried many different widget/desktop enchancers..
In the end I decided to use AveDesk because of how it was less memory required and didn't seem to slow my pc down. (I work on a laptop all the time, so small changes can add up)
The only issue with avedesk was the lack of desklets, which is why I started to created avescripter. I say started cause know there is more to be done in it.
Ghostwalker, can you PM me the things you find is missing in avedesk/scripter compared to yahoo so that we can get you to do desklets too

This thread is pointless and serves no real purpose except to act as a flame bait.
Also, there is no [talk] tag and Samurize is NOT Y!WE. Don't know where you got that idea.
