Hello Members, I am now at Cal Poly Pomona and now living at the Village , which is off campus housing....
I am considering buying the Imac 20 in and looking at a eye TV for the Mac so that I do not have to buy a TV, so that I can watch Cable TV on the Mac...

iMac 20" is great, but watching tv on them all the time might not be, cause the resolution is 1680x1050, so native tv resolution whould look quite small, so instead of it being like watching tv on a 20" screen it would be like watching tv on a 10" screen. but if you don't minnd the size eyeTV is great its a tivo for your mac
would that be the same with HD Cable or DvD's?
dvds are okay but still not full screen. hd is 720p 1080i 1080p you can watch 720p and 1080i which are good cause 1080i almost fills the whole screen, but if you watch 1080p its 1920x1080 so it srinks the size to fit the screen, when i watched one of the quicktime trailers on 1080p the quality was still good, so yeah if you can get all your channels in hd it would be a lot better.
thanks for this info, now I have to look into the HD term knowledge and find out what those pixels are about...it seems that flat screens, & LCD Monitors are very benifitial but they are more completicated as compared to the old big box shaped monitors...
the LCD is the 1st choice due to space constraints , I will google the rest of info...
