[help] Changing Finder icon on dock

Well, here's some good news. My bro's friend just gave me an iBook with 10.4.3 on it. But, I am customizing it and I dont know how to change the Finder icon thats on the dock. Can someone please tell me the trick to it?

PS: I'm editing them all manually...(e.g. Copy and pasting in the "Get Info" part of the file)

cannot do that with finder.app because it belongs to core service. Use Candybar instead (worth) :D

ah okay, thanks.

Is Candybar teh only way to do a system icon modification?

For most things, yes. You can change icons manually but that would be incredibally time consuming.

that is incorrect.. you can change the icon but it would be too much hassle to change permissions ;)

candybar or shapeshifter is your BEST bet.. if you can't buy or "get" those apps then search macupdate.. there are a few apps that can replace your folder icons, finder, etc.. but they REPLACE them and can't RESTORE them

you can also use themepark and then apply the theme with shapeshifter

Candybar is the best and safest product AFAIK.
