Doom 3

Hello all, I am just curious what video card would be appropriate to run Doom 3 well on a system like this

2.4 gigs P4 processor on ASUS P4B533 mobo

1.2 gigs of 2700 DDR RAM

I was thinking about getting the ATI Radeon 9700 pro (so far I've read good reviews and I don't think I can afford the 9800 pro).

I'd also like be able to do a bit of video editting (maybe the All in Wonder Card?)

Any thoughts?

I have the 9700 Pro and I barely can get 60 FPS (Athlon XP 2800+, 1 GB of DDR RAM) but only in a few scenes (using the leaked alpha version, in the final one it's supposed ID will improve the game performance).

All what I've read regarding this seems to point that the best choice at this moment is ATI, but Nvidia will release its new cards in a few months.

Wait for a display card upgrade until DOOM]|[ actually comes out - anything you buy before that will be a generation or so behind what the game is tweaked for.

I'd suggest waiting for at least an offical statement on the requirements and all, Radeon 9500 ~+ is recommended I bet,
