[help] Restoring Maxmized windows from RK Launcher?

I'm just checking to see if anyone has encountered this problem and if anyone knows a fix for it. When I minimize maximized windows to RK Launcher and then try to bring them back up, it doesn't bring them back up as a maximized window. Instead it brings it up as a window that has been scaled to fill my whole screen. (ie - it looks minimized, but if I can click and drag it around. It also has a resize handle on the bottom right). This is all kinds of annoying. Does anyone know a fix? Is this a known problem? (I searched but came up empty handed).

edit - Oh, and I don't remember RK Launcher always doing this. It seems ot have only started to happen in the past week. Either that or I've not noticed it all this time.

I have a few questions for you:

1. Why is it so annoying that the screen isn't maximized, just fully scaled?

2. Have you considered just using non-maximized windows at a higher resolution?

I noticed that too, happening once in a while, but I hardly consider it as a problem, since I rarely use any apps on a full screen (you know it gives me a claustrophobic sensation). :slant:

This is probably some unpolished thing (don't forget that RKL is a 0.3 beta) and I'm sure Raduking is aware of that and he will fix it once other more important problems are solved.

This is a problem because I can no longer shrink a window down. Instead I can only have maximized. Often if I need to see two applications at once I can double click the title bar and scale the window down. I know I can't be the only one who makes use of maximized vs scaled windows. Anyway, I think this is an issue that should be addressed.

well i am new here so can u please explain what "Tabs" are.

I have been experiencing problems with "Rk launcher" not displaying messenger windows!

But u can create exclusions in "rk launcher" if u r experiencing simular problems.

It's T A G S, not tabs. It used to be a Stickie thread around here about using tags, but I can't find it right now. Unbe, as well as other moderators used to have a link to it on his sig, but it looks like he droped it out. Send him a PM, maybe he's willing to help you find it... (The tags are these labels in front of the name of the thread [help], [ann] etc.)

How often does that issue occur? For me only rarely (I have more problem with apps windows not keeping the position and the size that I set - I think there is a common cause to our problems...)

well it didn't happen until a week or so ago. Since then its been doing it everytime I minimize a maximized window. I tried reinstalling (as much as you can) RK Launcher, but even a clean install with none of my config files yields the same resizing problem.
