Apple mouse and keyboard for windows??

I am thinking about getting an Apple Keyboard and mouse, but i just want to find out some info first.

I was woundering how compatable the keyboard and mouse is

(i've been told that some functions don't work with xp).

And what apple keyboard and mouse should i go for do u think?

i don't know about the keyboard, but i have the Mighty Mouse and it's pretty cool.

the only problem with it, is that the horizontal scrolling doesnt work (and that was the reason i bought it!!!) - works only with OSX-Tiger.

all the other functions do work and it's nice and smooth.

i also like the cool design (well it's Apple after all).

you should think if you want to waste 50$ for a mouse.....

I asked the same question a little while ago, I'm sure it'll be helpful http://www.aqua-soft.org/board/showthread.php?t=29805

I got the apple wireless keyboard myself, and it works perfectly.

what about is battery life, how long does it last?

For a nice wireless mouse, look at the Logitech MediaPlay. It also has horizontal scrolling that works just fine, and loads of fully programmable buttons. If you do get it, let me know and I can point you to the good software that lets you assign any button as a combination of keys, or launch an app, or whatever you want. Very cool indeed.

I've been using my apple pro keyboard for a couple of years now...super! I use a utility called applekeys foy print sceen F13. I also use a standard apple mouse (usb). I love this mouse...no trackball cleaning again. Great for drawing and gaming with. To get the right click menus there is a proggie to do that called apple mouse utility, then it's just ctrl click.

Thanx for all your comments now im definatly going to get the apple mouse and keyboard!!

However unfortunatly for me I live in rip off England.

@Zaft...yes, on xp.

@MadMacs...yes, bloody pricey here in Blighty! I had to go to the Mac shop in Eynsham, near Oxford for mine. I think I paid about £80 for the keys and £30 for the mouse. I know I could have got them cheaper if I'd shopped around and waited. Spur of the moment I suppose.

Try amazon.co.uk, they have it on there for 45 quid. Also read the User Comments there , pretty helpful.

#352152

Yeah, I did exactly the same, but it didn't work (wolume keys).

Maybe I need to do this one more time or stick it into another USB hub ?

#352341

buddha maybe you need intellitype? Wireless users, about that adaptor which one?

#352412

remember - if on windoze and use a apple keyboard...no print screen

#352619

I think there's an app that can configure that!

#352629

I tried Intellitype 5.5 but there's no chances ( wolume keys). Only *mute* respond.

I think to fix it is bying a MAC ! ;)
