Full version costs $9.95 US and is well worth it. There's a trial version for download as well.

What's new in TopDesk 1.4?

The new features in TopDesk 1.4 are:

* Tile Visible Windows - TopDesk can now tile visible windows.

* New Window Image Update Modes - TopDesk now supports more window image update methods, including capturing the foreground window image before tiling and capturing window images once after tiling.

* New Performance Settings - Users can now configure the memory usage and priority of TopDesk.

* More Mouse Hotspots - Mouse hotspots have been added to the middle of the top, bottom, and sides of the screen.

* Close/Minimize/Restore Windows While Tiled - Users can now close and minimize/restore tiled windows.

* Show All Window Titles - TopDesk can now show all window titles while tiled.

* Customizable Window Title and Selection Colors - Users can now customize the window title font and background colors and the window tile selection color.

* Minimized Windows Re-minimized After Snapshot - TopDesk now re-minimizes any minimized window it restored while capture window images.

* Taskbar Hidden If Already Hidden - To improve compatability with dock utilities, TopDesk now keeps the taskbar hidden if it was already hidden before TopDesk started.

* Unsupported Screens Blanked Off During Tiling - While tiling TopDesk now blanks off screens that do not support hardware acceleration.

* Improved Hide Visible Windows Compatibility - Where possible, maximized windows are now set to normal size before hiding and re-maximized after showing to improve compatibility with applications such as Internet Explorer.

* Reduced CPU Usage During Tiling - CPU usage during tiling has been significantly reduced.

* Improved Disable TopDesk - Disabling TopDesk now clears all TopDesk DirectX resources, improving compatibility with other DirectX applications.

Nice. Doesn't it have Drag'n'Drop feature yet? I was going to buy TD as soon as they make this feature.

I'm liking the style here

@ Rimmer, drag'n'drop had been added acouple of incremental releases ago... It's in the style of Entbloess though. You grab a file, expose, then hover over the window, the window restores, drop the file. etc. It works pretty well.

Love how it runs but at 33megs it's not the most efficient app on my system.

But i really like the smooth animations and responsivness. Desfinatly the best Expose clone i ever used.

Did you fix the Firefox Find bug? It's the one big showstopper issue for me.

I like your window arrangment algorithm much better than Winplosion, but Winplosion doesn't have the Firefox bug.....

Uhm, who are you talking to?

Wow, TopDesk is great, I really like it, far better than WinPlosion, Entbloess, etc.

You know what, I might actually buy this one... is there a PayPal option?

Oh, I see now. But the current TopDesk reminds too much of the Entbloess - almost the same look and performance (I like the weird "spatial" layout of previous TopDesks rather than the current accurate looking one). Only the settings are richer than anywhere else. Anyway, I like the current TopDesk, and as soon as I get some money, I'll buy it.

Uhm, who are you talking to?

Yeah! I'm wondering too!

I wanted to use TopDesk but everytime I use it konfab acts all werid and makes Topdesk mess up, so I un-installed it.

Been testing this program out the last couple days, and it's functionality is fantastic. Very smooth animations.

A couple concerns prevent me from purchasing it yet, though. When I play games such as Warcraft 3, typing becomes delayed by a full second before it shows up. Resource issues? I would have that that might have been the problem but it doesn't occur when I run Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.

The second concern I have is that the application-specific browsing (f10 for expose) doesn't work for Photoshop or Illustrator. I am guessing this is because in the taskbar, when I have 3-4 different Photoshop files open, only one Photoshop instance is actually open. I guess there is no way around this? The description of expose on the mac website states that it actually works for Photoshop tiling. I'm guessing this is an OS problem more then anything, but I'm not sure.

If the first of my concerns is addressed, I would definitely purchase.
