i mean i don't like the vista icons. i think they suck. i think ms must being hiring handicapped graphics people. "photo-tards", if you will...

But then again, 99% of us here use OSX icons or something similar and we don't see XP icons very often

Microsoft should have asked Rimsoft, RAD.E8 or some of the other brilliant iconists to create their icons. And get eg. Stefanka to design the userinterface... wooowwwww, what a OS we would have.
and ya know what? now that i've had a chance to really look at all of them, they're not as bad as i thought. actually, i think i might like them.
i bet half of you fanboys haven't even looked at the icons in this pack... they're really not bad looking, i'm using a bunch for my pc.
They are really good looking icons... specially if you use them with Aero/Vista theme (MsStyle/WBtheme etc.).......
but then....... when we get Vista, and people come out with Mac/OSX themes using Vista's skinning engine, we all will run behind OSX style icons that will match them.. and Vista native icons gonna bite the dust... !!

(ohh.. I remember when XP was about to be out, we all were getting XP icon packs and changing it on our Win2k system.. lol)
Have to Agree with Stone80a... MS should stop being jerkoffs and Hire some talented guys like Rimsoft, Rad.e8 n so... not only they will have much better stuff to show, we would also enjoy it more !!
Thanks, igo (this sounds like Ego) . You're right. i remember that i once downloaded XPs icons since it was a beta.
And i really enjoyed it on my Win2k machine.
But i wanna mention that i'm not that excited about Vista, it's just too dissapointing.
Also... i useualy work on a Mac, so it's way far better than holding breath for a thing which is outdated, 3 or 4 years behind than it should be. And a rip off most of our beloved OS 10.
lol... yes, I know... but I still have certain amount of anticipation for Vista... I do have mac, but most of work (3d studio max, Premiere Pro and stuff) needs Windozeeee (I know..it suck).. so my PCs running XP will have something to new to sport. Besides since Vista's engine will be way better XP it will be more fun turning it into OSX-alike. 
P.S. : my nick IS suppose to sound to ego.. ... say.. are we going kinda off-topic here, cuz I don't want any mods on my back for that..

Microsoft hasn't figured this out yet, and a lot of Internet discussion of UI seems to center on graphics rather than layout, but there's more to a UI than just decent-looking icons and a nice desktop theme.
If the .ico files are attached I can have an IP theme ready by tonight...but no promisses
