Fix Theme Change Dialog In Shell32.dll

guys like me alot of you probably use the amazing Iceman's (aka aquajesus) visual themes and his shell32.dll.

Well it has always bothered me that when changing theme's you get the please wait on top of the logoff dialog. So I fixed it. Here is 3 bitmaps. The logoff bit map will remained untouched. But you will replace the following 3 bitmaps with the corresponding number.

Here is a screenshot of what it fixes. The shutdown dialog is unchaged as that is a separate bitmap in shell32.dll

notice you no longer have the ms logo misalinged in the corner and the please wait text on top of the are you sure you want to logoff text. Simple fix but needed.

pack this is sounds great, but i applied your patch and i now get the awful XP "are you sure you want to log off?' dialog.

the theme change is fixed, but the logoff is now bugging me. <_< i have a few ideas , but just thought i would let you know.

actually your right I was spacing on that one. duh

as I must have check both in between changing lol

Oh well still fixes theme but yah now logoff is blank.

But I have an idea as well

For now just use the apple logo and the old iceman dialog

that is a almost fix

ok, i have figured out how to get both the VS Change Screen and the Logoff screen working (Y) it involves adding a BMP to SHELL32 and making it the background of DIALOG 1071.

if u know how to do that then all is well. but if your not sure, just wait for me to upload my version os ICEMAN's modded system files.

I have applied your great looking mod dialog files, that were based on Iceman's System Replacement Files, however I still am getting the 'glitch' on the Change VS Dialog screen, which is explained by Pack above?

I use iShutv1.6 for for log off so this is not a concern...

I have just opened up my new mod shell32.dll, and checked the following:

14353.bmp

14354.bmp

14355.bmp

They look fine without having the 'text over text' glitch, however when I go to change a theme, the glitch is effident, just like the above pic...oh almost forgot...I do have the 'apple' in the pic for I have not applied the above .bmp tweaks...

Is the 'Please Wait' suppose to be like the pic above...with the new mod files...?

I am sorry for the confusion, or after applying Unknown's great Mod files to my WinXP SP1 system, I do have the 'Visual dialog as per the above pic'...I do not have the apple for I have not applied the .bmp tweaks from Pack's tweak...

Darn, I get a little confused at time...lol!

P.S. I did have MartinGy2k's mod 'Dialog change' which did have the dialog corrected, but did have the Windows logo on the box...
