OK. It was sometimes on Win but now it comes to Safari ...
Periodically Safari open file i want to download within its window... I try to download FontForge-20060117.pkg.sitx from SF - and HAVE TO do it via context menu... if i just click on mirror link i get a content of .sitxfile within Safari...
I think its start after i install Dev Tools but not 100% sure...
Firefox works fine. Maybe i need to "repair permission" or similar? Maybe reinstall Stuffit... any ideas?

I'm on Tiger 1.4.4
That's generally a server issue, not the fault of Safari. I seem to recall it is because some servers aren't set up to report common mac file types correctly so they are sent as type text/plain and so Safari displays it on screen as if it were just a text file.
Just option-click the download link if this happens and you can download the file direct.

And i'm glad to hear that Safari is innocent

but its can be a pain if you haven't "direct" link... than you download only script
