OK... After two months of suffering locking LG VX5200s, I'm getting a new phone. I've narrowed it down to these two: The Motorola V3c Razr or the Motorola E815. I really can't decide between the two. I'm a high school student, so i don't need a lot, but i need the multimedia features.

I don't really think the Razr is all it's cracked up to be, so I think I would go with the E815. I'm guessing you're on Verizon Wireless. If you are, you may also want to check out the LG VX8100 and the Samsung A950 as well. I would choose the VX8100 out of them all.
I have a RAZR, and they're really not that great. I assume a V3c is the first-gen one, rather than the V3i (the new one, I live in the UK), or the 3G one the V3x. The features aren't all that great compared to a Sony Ericsson K700/750, or the Samsung D500/600 (slidey phones).
The RAZR does have a really nice keyboard though, I haven't seen it bettered by anyone, and it is remarkably thin. Which I like, although more memory (only 5MB is crap, tbh), and a faster interface wouldn't go amiss. The camera's pretty bad as well, compared to the new ones about. The V3i has lots more features than the original V3, such as iTunes syncing, Transflash expansion and much better camera. I'd go for that if I was buying today. The form factor's just too nice to leave.....

The RAZR is great if you just want a phone. If you want extensive PDA/multimedia features, you're better off with something else. But for me, the RAZR is excellent.
CDMA? Damn Americans with their stupid standards etc. In the UK (and most of Europe) its just GSM/GPRS (old and what everyone uses) or 3G (new and expensive, as its known by almost everyone here).
I see from some interweb research that the V3c is a slightly tarted up version of the original RAZR V3. Not as good as the V3i which is a very nice phone indeed. In fact, its the same as my RAZR but with a camera that'll fill up that pathetic memory allowance much quicker :-D
Come on... what about the Palm Treo 700w (or 650)?

No Sony Ericsson fans in here? I received a K750i a few months ago and I could not be happier! I purchased a gigabyte Pro Duo for $40 and now I can hold about 12 tv shows with room to spare for some mp3s.
The phone is a dream.
I have a Sony Ericsson k608i- I love it mailiny cause it has all the features that I want and none that I really think are useless. And I think it has near flawless Bluetooth implementation which combined with the widcomm stack and fMA meke it a great purchase.
If you want a phones for its multimedia capabilities then I would suggest getting one with expandable memory. Owning an ipod i cannot see how 30mb of internal memory (some of which im sure is shared with the OS) can be enough in the case of the Motorola V3c Razr (Damn sexy phone though).
The Motorola E815 on the otherhand is ugly and has an irritating external antenna. But I still think it would be the better option if you are going to use it as a multimedia device.
My friend just gave me his old Treo 650. It's very fun to play with!

I would say go with the Motorola E815, that is what I have and I love it. I have thought about switching to the Razr but after feeling it in the store and trying to out, I think im going to stick with my E815. If your going for the look and the design I would go with the RAZR but if your looking for features then go with the E815.

W900i is the best you can get at the moment (and there hardly any orange too! )
and what about nokia (the world number 1 )
since a week i have a nokia n70. it is fantastic.
I like the orange bits! makes a change from dull white/grey and black 
I have a razr, and I was thrilled with it, especially the design of it. But now everyone and their mothers has one, plus its a bit lacking in features, IMO the best phone right now is the k750i from sony ericsson, which I plan on getting once I get the unlock code from cingular customer service.

Bought mine off eBay and happily use it on the T-Mobile network in the states
