Sub Menu In Yz Dock

I know this is probably silly, but as a **** hopefully i can be forgiven. Anyhoo is there a submenu in yz dock, as in when you hover over an icon an aqua like sub menu will pop up?

Thanks in advance all

Not when you hover...you have to click the middle mouse button (wheel) or ctrl-click or hold down the left mouse button a couple seconds (all are equivalent) on an icon to get a submenu to display.

Great thank you so much

Is this supoosse to work with any folder you add to the dock? I ask this because I added a shortcut to My Computer but nothing happens...

It would be nice if the Sub-menu timing could be controlled. It is a little slow in reacting.

If I click my mouse wheel on my dock icon for My Computer I get a submenu with all the drive letters showing up.

In the properties for my dock item I have:

Name: My Computer

Link to: ::{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}

Try that...

any way to aquify the submenu?

You'd need to use something like kkMenu.

Thanks a lot mimeryme, it worked :canadian:

I like being able to middle click on shortcuts to folders to make them expand, but sometimes I think it would be a good idea to make an option in the dock item properties page to let people swap the buttons for that icon (make middle click open the folder in explorer, and left click expand it). If I make a folder full of shortcuts that I would want to expand, its ackward to remember to use the middle button, instead of just being able to left click it like the other items.

If there is already a way to do this, I would love to know. Thanks!

I was using kkMenu in OD and now that I have started using Y'zDock it doesn't seem to work the same, anyone get kkMenu to work with YD?

#32960

Max Power, just drag the kkMenu.exe to the dock and under arguments put the samething as Objecdock ( foldername or app) ;)

#32962

I just figured out I was forgetting the quotes in the argument, so I've got it working ok, now the only thing that bothers me is that when I click on 1 menu icon ALL the different instances of kkmenu.exe in the dock start bouncing/running although only the menu I clicked on shows, this did not happen in OD, only the 1 instance of kkmenu would bounce/run. Any ideas?

#32969

I just disabled the bouncing for YZ Dock as I'm using KKmenu. The only issue I have is that the indicators pop up, but I tend to ignore it.

@Max Power - I didn't like the way it makes all the menu icons bounce either. Here's the method I used to create different menus that don't make all the various menu icons on the dock bounce at once:

(1) make a new copy of the KkMenu folder for each separate menu you want (I threw the 5 resulting kkmenu folders I had into my Y'z Dock docklets folder, not because that does anything special but because it's a convenient place to put 'em)

(2) edit each KkMenu.ini file so that only the menu group you want on that particular menu is present

Example:

[image]

File Name = "Aqua_menu.png"

Alpha = 150

Font: Face,Size,Style(BIU) = "Tahoma",12,""

Font Normal Color: R,G,B,A = 0,0,0,255

Font Highlighted Color: R,G,B,A = 255,255,255,255

Menu Item Border Width = 1

Metrics: A-V = 64,16,32,1,20,0,64,80,112,128,64,25,8,64,0,80,160,208,256,288,368

[File Transfer]

DC++ = "I","blueapple.png","C:\Program Files\DC++\DCPlusPlus.exe",""

WS_FTP = "I","flashfxp(speeddl).png","C:\Program Files\WS_FTP\WS_FTP95.exe",""

SoulSeek = "I","FishBlue.png","C:\Program Files\SoulSeek\slsk.exe",""

This is the KkMenu.ini file for the menu I made called "File Transfer".

(3) When you make your shortcut for each menu in Y'z Dock, send a shortcut for the proper copy of KkMenu.exe to the desktop, then drag it to the dock (or just create a shortcut on the dock pointing to specific exe without dragging a shortcut, it works either way). Only the copy of KkMenu.exe that's in the folder with a specific KkMenu.ini file will work to open the menu group (i.e. [File Transfer]) listed in that ini.

If any of this doesn't make complete sense, IM me and I'll try to explain it better.

Also, there is already a thread for this here. This post, in fact, should most likely be in that thread. ;)

It was done by elpincho. Get it at his site: http://usuarios.lycos.es/aguaman/Wallpapers1.html
