[Help] Copying DVD's to Hard Drive

Hey,

I was wondering if it was possible to copy dvds to my laptops hard-drive, so the file would be saved as a .mpeg etc.

What software do i need to achieve this, possible for free, but i might be willing to pay.

dvd shrink doesn't convert the format, it just takes files off of the disc and puts it onto your h.d.

it's title feature is that it can compress the data to fit double sided discs onto single sided ones. it can also strip away some of the features of the disc that you may not need, such as foreign language soundtracks, menus, special features, etc....
