Distraction

So, have any of you seen this show? It is a game show where they torture people while they ask simple questions. I believe it was on in the UK, but the Comedy Central adopted it to be in the U.S.

It's pretty funny. But then again, I am pretty sadistic.

I bring this up because it does have something to do with Apple. At the end, the remaining person out of four people gets asked questions to win prizes. It started off with there being a grand prize of a car. The winner would get asked three questions, each time one was missed, the previous three contestants would do something to the car, I.E., pour paint on it, throw a sledge hammer through the windshield, key the side of the car among other things.

But another thing that they do, which seems more popular now, is that they have separate prizes and each question would determine the fate of a random prize. It would either get blown up, or crushed by a barrel filled with dried cement. One of the regular prizes are, guess what, a Mac. Either an iBook or an iMac.

So, picture it: you just had to put 30 clothespins on your face, got crapped on by pigeons, and had to urinate to buzz in to answer a question. Now, it's just you and three prizes. A big screen Sony TV, a Vespa motor scooter and an iMac. First up the Vespa. Jimmy Carr asks you a question, a 500 lb barrel slowly raises, you have to think of the answer quick, you don't know when the barrel will fall. Your brain freezes. BUZZZ! The barrel falls on the Vespa making it a compact Vespa.

Next up, the iMac. Could you handle it?

I saw the British version - that programme rocked!

I remember once, when they had all the contestants lined up by their buzzers - but they had cacti around them, then they made the cacti rotate, then blindfolded the contestants. Best gameshow ever :D
