[help] Battery Tray Icon won't go away

ive tried disabling it through the power meter settings, but it still appears.. I'm running win2k with all the latest updates..

Does attempting to hide it work? It's not as good as what you're asking for, but it's worth a shot...

Right click taskbar-->Properties-->Taskbar tab-->Customize-->Change to "Hide when Inactive" or "Always Hide" for the battery.

thanks nightcrawler, but thats not really an option for me, as i said before, that i'm using windows 2000. plus which, just don't want it to load all together, to help free up resources.
