[help] iTunes library disappeared

I opened up itunes about 3 days ago and for some reason none of the songs are listed in there, i have the main library plus about 7 other playlists. I have a backup of the playlists in .xml format. It appears that somehow my itunes library file disappeared. there is a itunes library file in my music folder, but i can really see what is in it because its 3 megs and you can't drag it into itunes! Is there anyway that I can restore my playlists and library without having to do them all over again one by one??? I have 2800 songs!

OK, you didn't add anything in yet I pray?

If not, try double-clicking the playlist library file.

If it's 3 megs the data oughta still be there.

But if you add anything beforehand it might well WIPE the old file.

ya i got it all back, i forgot that I can import the library file into itunes
