The Really Really Best Matrix Screensaver

Yeah I know there were other threads about this but I looked at them and didn't see anything that resembles what I'm talking about. So this is a clean thread that doesn't ask what the best Matrix Screensaver is. This is IMHO THE best one.

It's animated 3D that is fast and actually looks like the real movie promos plus cool extras.

Go to this Matrix Screensaver Page to download and try it. Works well even with a GeForce 2

Have fun. :woot:

its awesome man, excellent find. Its so sweet, the effect is pretty good. The best matrix screensaver I've seen.

#32264

Yeah. Awesome is the word. I linked the screenshots here so the rest could see first. Of course the pics don't do justice to the incredibly neat animation.

Fast replying: :order:

Sweet stuff gameboyzGB - I might actually use a screensaver on my pc...

#32293

Ok, the screensaver is great, but the advertising all over it...sure I know who made the screenie, but keep the info off the screensaver and keep the start menu entries out of the installer (or at least offer me the option of having them during install).

I HATE apps that install crap all over without asking permission - one reason why AOL anything will never go on any of my systems.

#32300

Yeah that's the only thing. The option for that is if you pay for the ad free version.

The ONLY bad thing about this SS is that dual display almost grinds it to a hault on my Geforce 440 mx.

#32311

That happened to my dual display too. But it works well if I don't use Microsoft's built-in way of displaying on both monitors. I disabled the "Extend My Windows Desktop..." to the second monitor and then used nVidia's "Allow Horizontal Spanning".

The benefits are:

1. All screensavers and animated desktops work at full speed

2. ObjectBar stretches all the way to both monitors

3. ObjectDock is centered between both monitors

4. Maximizing apps stretches all the way which is great for video editing and 3d graphics creation.

The cons are:

1. Opening apps and pop-ups are dead center between 2 monitors and can get confusing to read so I have to move them left or right

2. It takes a bit of getting used to working with all that space. :)

The other thing that doesn't work with this screensaver is using it as my desktop background. ObjectDock and ObjectBar flickers a lot. :(

Still, it doesn't take away my initial comment that THIS is the best and coolest looking Matrix type screensaver ever. :D

Don't like it, think it's overdone and it does not even look like the one i've saw in the Nebuchadnezzar. 4829

>You think that's air you breathin? 498f.......... hmmmpf.

>Again!! (Akuma pose)

That's the one i 0284 would recommend for a kinda Nebuchadnezzar feel.

O yeah it's 15 dollar or something :lol:dea7

Cheers!

I downloaded this SS, its very nice... Thanks for pointing it out, aquia-girl.

It's not 3D Aqua-girl. The movie promos show you zooming through the code. If you wanted just the one that looks like the one used within the film itself, then there is another thread for it.

This one is for eye-candy. It's a boy thing. :D

Get the donor version for this (only $5), its worth it...Nothing compares to the sweet 3D and the pictures :own: ...I recently set it on 2D, and it still is the best screen saver I've come across.

Also, the donor version gets rid of the ads :boob_shake:

I didn't like the promo's too when the Warner Brother logo zooms in it stutters..

bad keyframing or bias control i dont know doesnt look fluid..

didnt like it from the start.

Guess it's al about the eyecandy then ;)

Cheers

Too bad you guys don't have a Mac...I use an awesome Matrix SS called Red Pill. Absolutely awesome. :)

godpunk, I've had Macs for years and I have Red Pill running on it. Red Pill is great on the Mac but not as cool or as feature laden as this 3D matrix screensaver for windows .
