[help] High Quality Screenshots

I have a trouble with the quality of the Desk screens and i see that a lot of user have this trouble with they screens ....

So this is the problem

the image is blurry "not good"

the quality of the image Is perfect (and the VS:) )

So i like if a experience user post a tutorial of how do a perfect screen, that help actual members (like me ) and new members .....

Also wil be cool a explanetion of how do a nice preview

Because the explanection in macforums is for a Mac and the majority of us are windows user

JPG files cause color loss. Try saving in a .PNG format.

well i do this i take the screen of my desk pressing the key in my keyboard (impr, pant, petsis)

then paste in powerpoint, save the image ( loses quality )

then upload in imageshack ( loses more quality )

dont paste to powerpoint, if you dont have photoshop or image editor, try to paste it to Microsoft Paint and save it as ".PNG"

Well I'd recommend you not paste into PowerPoint. Adobe Photoshop on the other hand will give you plenty of quality of compression options. If you don't have Photoshop try MS Paint.

When you are ready to take a screenshot, press the PrintScr button on your keyboard. Then open MS Paint (Start - Programs - Accessories - Paint)

Once Paint has opened press Ctrl + V (alternatively go to Edit and click Paste). Now you are ready to save. Go to File - Save As..Type in a filename and before clicking Save, select the format PNG in the Save As Type box. Then click Save. That should give you some decent quality.

Uploading to ImageShack should not significantly alter the quality unless you are asking ImageShack to resize the image for you. Ensure that you are uploading the image to ImageShack without asking for resizing.

If you need a good image editor, but don't want to pay a fortune, I use Paint.NET 2.5. It is free. I'm not sure where I downloaded it, so just google search it.

Ultraman has made a little photoshop tutorial showing how to make a preview frame from scratch, you can have a look at the tutorial at his site Link There are also a bunch of other tutorials which are really good IMO. Although they are all in french, there should be no problem for you guys, since they are video tuts

Seems to me what you really need is a screenshot tool capable of saving in .png format, cropping etc. I suggest you try NeoShooter, it's really simple yet powerful enough, so that you don't have to go through several other apps just to get a decent screenshot.
