Screensaver As Bg

Working on a mac right now. OSX Jag to be exact. How do I get my desktop wallpaper to show the screensaver. You know like abstract and such as my wallpaper?

My appologies, but the search engine on this site is not the best. I have searched many a times and half the time the thing comes back up saying it couldn't find it, that I needed to check the guidelines on how to search!

All I want to know is ---- how to set the screensaver on a Mac with OS X Jaguar as a desktop background----. NOT how to do it on a PC, (I am working on that already).

OK, command line way:

nice +20 /System/Library/Frameworks/ScreenSaver.framework/Resources/ScreenSaverEngine.app/Contents/MacOS/ScreenSaverEngine -background &

Thats nice, they made it -backgroud in OSX, instead of -root, for the uninitiated in unix.

GUI program:http://freshlysqueezedsoftware.com/products/freeware.fss , its called backlight.

I did that from a google search ( ) in 1 minute, and since they all just do the same thing (run that CLI command), why does it really matter?

I mentioned CoolBackground somewhere in this Forum. But if you want more choices, here they are.

Look for any of these OS X programs using google.

1. Background Screen Saver

2. BackgroundSaver

3. CoolBackground

4. DeskEffects

5. Desktop Effects

6. FackBore

7. Visage

8. WallSleep

9. xBack

They do the same thing but some have more options or are less CPU intensive than others.

Only prob is it eats your battery life, and makes the imac g5 fan loud .

I had the little fishy screensaver as my wallpaper for about a week. was neat.

Who said I had to play by the rules... anyway.. hadn't seen anything recent on this topic so I thought I'd rehash it...

Between Backlight and VirtualPC, the fans on my PB are on all the time... I hope I'm not gonna burn this baby up! Have to keep it plugged in all the time... battery doesn't last that long with the fans going.
