[help] drag within taskbar

I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to enable dragging applications left and right within the taskbar? Basically I want to be able to reorder the windows I have open in the task bar. Hopefully there is a registry edit or something like that, but if not, has someone ever developed an app which allows this?

Neat japanese freeware program: Taskbar++ (http://hp.vector.co.jp/authors/VA013430/pr...barpp/main.html)

- Start the program and hold move your mouse over the taskbar.

- Hold down the ALT key for a few seconds to enter "sort mode"

- Now you can drag the taskbar buttons around with ALT held down

This program only supports the standard Luna VS, but can be very easily skinned but opening the EXE in Reshacker.

so what happens if im in any other skin other than luna... does it revert to luna while moving or simply doesnt work?

I would love a simplier solution, which possibly adds a short cut to the rmb menu for the task

That's nice GTN, I'll be sure to check that out.

Just wanted to let g8rtime know of another little app that might fit your purpose: TaskArrange

Just start it up and you can arrange the taskbar windows as you suit, via the graphical interface. It's neat.

TaskArrange is perfect... tiny application, super fast, free, and works perfectly... thanks for posting!

With TaskBar++ the middle part of the taskbar turns blue when ALT is held down while the mouse is over the taskbar.

If you open the EXE in ResHacker, you'll find that it's just 3 BMP images that need to be changed.

Maybe I should make some autopatching skinpacks for it?

Drag and drop rearranging directly on the taskbar itself - does it get any simpler than that?
