Musicmatch Itunes Skin

I'm very very new to the community, but not new surfing the boards.

Everybody here has really answered a lot of questions I've had in the past, and seem to be really helpful to one another.

Thus, why I'm asking help.

This would be the first file I've ever uploaded to any community on the net.

I want it to be here. To give back to those who've help me so much.

I use MusicMatch for my mp3 organization, ripping, and burning. I have nothing but great things to say for this great and powerful product when you learn all it has to offer. It wasn't till I came across a skin made by Chriuso that I was educated that there are other ways to skin a very tedius skinned program.

Like Duckie says on his site, I'm not out to steal anyone's thunder, a nice credit list will be released with this skin. I'm waiting on Chriuso's permission to release this updated version. Its quite good. . .not being conceded, just confident that it will find its way into someone's care with open arms.

So if anybody is interested, please ask for a screenshot, and if they can, post it on the boards for all to see, and help me get this great mod out to the public.

Your skin looks really awesome Matthias. I only have one problem so far. When I try loading it, it tells me the skin was designed for an older version of MMJB. Im using version 8. Thanks bud.

ps. To avoid that error in loading the skin, open

the file with winzip and delete the "thumbs" file.

It's the last one on the directory list.

I didn't know Musicmatch was on version 8. I can't also seem to update automatically or manually. I'd better write to Musicmatch about that. They have a great support team. I was among the first customers so I have a lifetime upgrade.

As soon as I got the buttons on the side. . .it was on.

-Yeah, I've been a lifetime upgrader since 5.5 (i think?).

Love that program, kinda lost its glory though once I fell into the world of Aqua.

Mod is reloaded on the page.

.db is removed, and file should be completely fine.

Considering that MusicMatch was created by a group from Apple to provide the iPod to PC users. . .I'd say, Yes??

I did add the iPod button on the bottom right though?

My next plan for this project is to skin the iPod section,

but since I don't own one, it will be hard to test a l l the functions of it.

See what its made of, etc.

I'd like to redo Chriuso's Burner Plus interface. Its nice, its clean, its creative and its great, but I'd like to keep to the "iTunes" theme.

Hey everybody, I got a problem. My mod was removed at Deskmod.

Why?

I'm pretty sure I didn't do anything wrong. I certainly did not, not ask permission and give credit where credit was due. I can't find anybody to contact about what may have happened. I'd like to be optomistic and think, maybe they did a restore or something and being mine was the newest file in the catagory, maybe it got lost?

Can anybody tell me who I contact over there?

I don't want to resubmit it, if I did do something wrong.

Don't want to be a pest ya know?

I got in trouble with DeskMod saying, "I've invaded copyrighted material, and did not get the original author's permission to update his exsisting mod."

Which I completely understand the latter, but not the first.

DeskMod was great with their support, and their promptness on trying to resolve the matter. If anybody of them happens to read this: "good job"

Very honest people there and that's what I like.

It looks like this mod will be lost in the depths of the net unless I hear something back from Chriuso. I've been trying to contact them for a while now, but with no resolve.

So until something happens on their part, I'm sorry I can't re-upload the mod.

Not to sound like a jerk or anything, but I've seen, read, other stuff like this elsewhere, and maybe they were wrong too. . .but this is kinda of ridiculous?

I guess to play devil's advocate with myself, I'd feel "strange" if someone did something to my mod too?

I appreciate everyone's kind remarks and help.

If anybody is still interested in this mod, I guess help?

Has anybody else come into a situation like this before?

And do you have any advice on contacting someone?

I don't think it is Deskmod's place to tell you what is copyright or not from Apple. Anyway I hope I can grab a copy somewhere, I did download it to view, then cleared my cahche . The last pic I saw of it was great, and I am sorry that you are having such trouble on your first upload to a place like that.

If anyone is interested in hosting this file on a site, first let me do something.

I'm gonna completely re-work the .txt file inside, and give a 100% effort of a credits list on every single aspect of the mod. Who did what and etc.

If anyone wants the theme, let me know, I'll email it to you.

Screenshots, just shout.

This is getting out of hand. But I stand by my work, and I have good intent on making people happy, as a lot of people here have me.

If anybody is interested, just drop an email. My filter is pretty high, so if I don't get a message, post here.
