Genie Effect - possible solution for Nvidia users

OK, Had a problem in my system so... restored PQImage (the one I took straight after buying the pc and starting the first boot ;))

next, I installed WindowFX and suddenly all transitions works??? now it becomes weird when these same things does not work with latest Forceware drivers...

Anyhow, as far as the solution goes, Dell's nVidia drivers might bring you all dudes some luck...

Dell --> Driver D'loads --> Dimension --> XPS Gen 5 --> ;)

old drivers i know... atleast its worth a try for the sake of winFX and RaduGenie ;)

Oh... I forgot to mention "this is a solution for nVidia dudes only ;) ATI dudes, rest in peace...."

I haven't tried this yet, but i don't think it's worth reverting back to old drivers just to resolve the problem. What happens if only those drivers work, then you be stuck with them just to use the genie effect.

For me, I'd rather stick with latest drivers to play games, etc, or stick with using the scale effect for now.

I'm sure Radu & others may find a better solution.

But anyhow that's just my opinion :)

I've found when I used the latest nightly, the performace on my machine increased. I may be imagining that, though.

Nice one Pete... I don't think I knew how to change the topic title.

drudragon, you may be right in your case... I just tried to help those who wanted Genie to work in any ways ;) WinFX effects are perfectly working in my sys now... thought its about time to spread the word say, so... yeah, I'm sticking to this driver... my games would work in any of nVidia drivers so wouldn't care much about so called 'Versions'.
