depends on what it will do...
it you want to change the status, you'll need a menu... so in this menu we could also have "Send instant message..." and when clicked it would open the connected users list (you know what I mean right?) 
yeah infact i was just wondering cant anyone of our talented developers & skinners SKIN the msn messenger app to make it look more aquish ............thatll be wicked

Not perfect, but it's not bad! 
A Docklet that will keep hopping/blinking when someone typed you a message, that changes pictures when you change your status... I think that'll be really cool if somebody could make that... I think there are a lot of people who will like such a docklet for Y'z.... somebody???

Didn't we have this discussion before? 
Anyway, it should:
1) Show current status (away, online...)
2) change colors when signing in
3) bounce when you get a new message
4) show the context menus when right-clicked.
