[poll] is it worth swithcing to FF 1.5 ???

i spent too much time to modify my FF 1.0.6 to look like safari and few times i replaced it with the new FF, but i just couldnt find all extensions i cant live without and everything, and i dont want to make this whole emulating proces once more

r at least these extensions awailable for FF 1.5 already?

compact menu

titlebar tweaks

tabbrowser extensions

compact menu and titlebar tweaks work with 1.5.

try tabmix plus instead of tabbrowser extensions.

hmm, glad to hear that thnx, but still i have to think bout if its worth remaking all these edits of .css and stuff, ill see what the poll will say in the end :)

This is like saying is worth swicthing from osx 10.3 to 10.4

edits to css? what are you doing? it takes a few seconds to setup firefox to simulate safari.. wb skin, theme, compact menu, tab extension, then you're more or less done.. if you spent some time researching/searching instead of putting up pointless polls, you'd have all your answers already.

well, it took me quite a long time to get my FF look like it does now, so ya, maybe now when i know what to put where and where to find that or other theme, it would take just a short time to make it look like it does now, but i just experienced few times that few plugins did not work, you know, i tried the new FF few times and every time some plugin was uncompatible, so now i wanted to know if most plugins r already comatible, and also wanted to ask people who have it installed if its better, thats all, sorry if i annoyed you by making a poll ... and i do search a lot, dont worry :)

you talk about 1.5 betas? they were rerelased sooo quick =)

switch to FF 1.5 is perfect.

and for Safari... ummm... you can get Mini ;)

btw on my PowerBook I have FF in its natural view - good enough to match MacOS ;) sure... and make a poll about "switch" to Mac ;) its more interesting ;)

#344268

If you need Pinstripe don't switch.

i voted yes. don't you think that the security updates are more important than being able to simulate the look of Safari? besides you don't have to worry about most extensions if you use my tutorial ;D.

Everything that can be done in the old versions can be done in the new versions, you just have to have patience for some of the extensions to be updated. Or if you can't wait, learn to do it yourself. Because soon, everyone will be using Fx 1.8 (next version planned) and you don't want to be left behind do ya?

BTW everyone Firefox is preferably abbreviated "Fx" or "fx", as said so in the FAQ for Firefox. I've been using "FF" for a while too, but if the creators tell me it's "Fx" then, "Fx" it is.
