I don't know why but it didn't work for me. It said this message "Sorry, you cannot leech this file".

I did what it said to disable the firewall but still didn't work.

Some of you will be able do download it and install it. Some can't for some reason. If you have been able to download it , it would be kind if you told what did you do to download it or give a configuration settings.:)

this is actually a very bad pack, I tried it and it was a pain in the ass to un-install properly

if your looking for a vista transformation pack you should use brico's vista transformation pack 1.1

yeah that pack did suck ass. hela ****ed up my computer, I had to reformat. apparently it ruined the logon dll and I couldn't ****ing log on. I REALLY do not recomment it.

yes to bad :(

Works great on my computer... didnt destroy a dam thing and the themes are pretty good, it even came with a sound pack :)

i wonder why they say it "turns XP into Vista". It just replaces the visual style, sounds, etc. If it turned XP to Vista, then there would be a nice lawsuit.

THis somehow screwed up my boot screen beyond repair. I had to reinstall XP. :( But I admit the screwed-up boot screen image was nice. :P

#355305

Umm, all you had to do was boot up in Safe Mode and uninstall the pack. :P

How do you boot up in Safe Mode, you may ask? Well, when you start up your computer, press the F8 button. It will give you some choices, just choice Safe Mode.

It will boot up (note: it will give you a 800x600 screen res, or something like that)

Just go to control panel and uninstall the pack.

Well, it doesn't serve any good now, but just for future reference.

Yes, most of theses vista packs realy do suck a**, that why we shold wait to see if chris kite will eventualy do one for us, we know his work is great, but my guess hes workin on all hte kinks in flyakiteosx, and wating for more resources on Vista.

@spclffred: it's time to change that Avatar ;)

I like the consistency of the Brinco pack but I prefer the boot screen and Logon/off dialogue pics from Windows X. I installed both but the only problem is that the Brinco Logon/off dialogue pics still over write the Vista version, even though I installed just the logon/off and boot stuff from Vista T's pack after installing Brinco. Where can I find/change the .bmp file on my system? Thanks

This is the image I'm trying to get rid of:

it depends if you follow the instructions.... if you don't it surely kill your PC... i've used that before and uninstalled. it's fine... did not kill my PC coz i READ the instructions!

Figured it out. I can either reshack the image I want in the shell32.dll or uninstall then reinstall VTP sans the themes and otherstuff i didn't want. Seems one of the things I unchecked in my previous install controls the dialogue pics so i just have to either reinstall the pack checking those or reshack the one pic I want. :) No biggy.

How in the h*** do you uninstall it anybody?

#372756

Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs
