Is it possible to "create" a desklet, that shuts down the PC in a time the user defines?
I often listen to books and music before sleeping, and so the PC would shut down automatically.
I think thats a good idea - what do you mean?

But for Avedesk it is also a good idea, i think - you don't need an extra program installed then .

Maybe you want to give this a try. It's a registry key that puts a icon on the desktop all you have to do is add it to the registry and then refresh your desktop. Then right click on it and choose the duration you want your computer to stay on for. A dialog box pops up and shows you how much time you have. You can also abort shutdown on the right click.

@Dave L: what you wrote sounds really good - so I downloaded an doubleclicked - but nothing happened - no icon appeared on my desktop. i refreshed the desktop - I even restarted my comp.
