Artistic Help With Site

I wondering why this thread was closed: http://www.aqua-soft.org/board/index.php?a...&f=2&t=3411&hl=

I would like help/advice/new look for my site. I am artistically challenged and have no ideas of my own no matter how much I :compress: I do not have much knowledge of HTML. The site I have is basically cut and paste.

Here is my simple, ugly site: http://home.attbi.com/~lynchknot/phoenix.html

I can help you out with graphics and web design if you need it. I have Dreamweaver and I like to think I have some Photoshop skills as well. :) Let me know if you're interested.

Hey lynchknot, all I think your site needs is maybe a better layout and stuff. Like, maybe a little bit of organization before stuff gets too complicated. If you want me to, I supposed I could just make you something that a little more organized for ya, just shout me a hollar down: john@uselesswoodentoys.com!

#31757

Thanks for responding. I don't know what to do. It is an eyesore to me. It is disorganized and some say it's confusing.

Taha - :chair: :)

I kinda liked it for its simplicity.. It's very down to earthy..

Your themes are great, but your site needs to be a little more attractive... you sell looks (themes) but you pay no attention to the looks of your site. You may lose customers that way!!! :D

If you need any help at all, just tell me.

Good luck!

Nah, dont worry about your site. Your themes are wonderful, and anyone who wont use your themes based on your website has problems.

I mean, your website is really just a host for your themes, people dont "hang out" there.

Keep showing those skins. :rule:

Customers? heheh - out of 46,000 visitors my site made $1.46 though the click ad. It would be great if everyone clicked the ad. Do the math - still would not equal the amout of time I spend making the themes - it fun though.

Thanks fella's - maybe some download buttons instead of the whole text turning color or something.

The average visit length is 3 minutes, but i've seen people spend 30 - 40 minutes there - I don't know why there is not much to see........

Personally, I prefer GoLive! 6 by Adobe. I had to make a (very) few very simple webpages and i tested both Dreamweaver and GoLive a bit... GoLive appeared to be more intuitive to me ...

But I am no professional, so better dont ask me ...

Have fun,

ATT has an online HTML editor. I just cut and paste and plugged in some links. I don't know how to do anything further. I was suprised that what I did actually worked, as I did not use any WYSIWYG - however, it's ugly.

#32147

If you're interested, I just pieced together a layout for you. Even by my standards, it's not really that good, so you have full rights to tell me how bad it is., and how much you dislike it.

Click this link.....almost there....there! Click! Now! Quick!

If you are interested, just PM me. :canadian:

#32156

I'm curious as to what your standards are. That looks good to me - I mean it looks like a webpage - with title and links on the side. Mine looks like I used a black marker for the title and I have entire text as links.

Love it so far... ;)

I'd would choose the first one and go from there....

The other one is a bit cluttered with those icons, i just

love clean space when it's filled up right (or not)

Cheers!
