[rel] Weekend Box Office

Here's a desklet that I created that will show the weekend's top box office hits and how much they grossed. It's a little plain right now, but I think I'll work on a version two soon, make it something along the lines of this. For now, the top movies are shown in plain text and clicking them sends you to the Yahoo Movies page for that particular movie. The image on top is the backside of it, I made a smaller front side so it can keep clean on your desktop:

Clicking the flipper takes you to the list and the flipper is located in the same spot to get you back to the small screen.

PS: Long movie titles aren't too friendly with this (that's another reason why I want to make it more like the one for OS X). Hopefully more titles like Narnia won't be coming along soon

This is nice, but I'd find more useful a widget that you could have your favorite local theater in the main header....then what slides out are the movies currently playing and their start times. Not sure if there's a universal enough database of theaters out there yet though.

Yeah, I don't like the look of the dashboard one either, I meant the fact that there are movie posters and stuff. Thanks for the comments

Thanks for the heads-up on the Yahoo widget....I've resisted installing kon....yahoo because of all the negative reviews of it being such a resource hog...I'd much prefer an Avedesk widget. I guess the cool thing is this point out that there is in fact a database of theaters/showtimes out there.
