[rel] Beta with Flash and Browser!

Latest Beta version 1.0.1.16 now has webbrowser and flashplayer SUPPORT!! http://www.avedesk.org

I've tried real hard to try to have it "Inside" the desklet, but sadly, it can't be done right now.

The flash or browser will always follow the desklet and will always be "UNDER" the desklet allow people to put other layered object over it.

It also supports transparency if you add the following tags:

flashbgcolor="clblack"

flashtransparentcolor="clblack"

The browser also support transparency.

This is still early stage.. But it seems to work and I need more people to test it. But I'm very sure this will be a perfect working solution for future of AveScripter.

Anyhow,

I'll be away from my pc for the holidays. So Happy Holidays to everyone.

Hey, I've been watching the beta section! And guess what? I felt very bad and went to have a rest for a while. And in this certain moment!!! Now downloading...

Darn! I want to test this put, but I'm going on holiday today.

Will try this out when I get back in a week.

close effect needs some work with web and flash ;)

#343291

Ya.. I'm aware of the close effect. I tried to get it to work.. But didn't seem to work, I have it working with flipping.. I just wanted to release it for the holidays and see if it worked on everyone's system.

Works on my laptop:) Please, try to make it all more implanted into desklet texture :) I hope that very much. On Flash control you can consult with .max, my countryman in this forum. And if you use Mozilla instead of IE, it even maybe possible to make it transparent somehow (I think).

#343337

You can make it transparent with IE too.. just add the same tag for flash. I just haven't completed it yet.

What do you mean desklet texture? You mean the Desklet window?

#343396

Making it a seperate type of layer that can be customized in chspae and stuff he means i think.

#343487

Oh, don't pay too much attention to what I say. My English is very poor. I mean what pcm means in his first post - to make it all inside! And what we really terribly need is the documentation for new features. I though xml format will help you, pcm, to keep Sdk always up to date with every new release. You know, what I always expect from other devs - if the system is open, it must be documented (or else it must opened otherwise :))

With the browser support, could this mean Dashboard widgets could be parsed and displayed on the desktop? I know some widgets won't load under windows but some will just fine :) Cause they are just html, and JS mostly.

wow, this is great, ive been waiting for this. thx allot pcm!!!

Tho some original Dashboard widgets can be successfully loaded into Mozilla Firefox under Windows, this doesn't mean that you can use AveScripter directly (not mentioning that it uses IE now, which is not so good for Mac widgets). Browser feature adds a wide functionality to AveScripter, allowing us to create a variety of very good looking and smart desklets. This means that Dashboard widgets are now more easy to port (tho most of them is very primitive and doesn'trely on browser capabilities so much; there are just few of them which cannot be ported without a browser).

I'm still away from my pc till next year... But dropped by to say a few words.

I found information on implementing FireFox. Next Beta I think

Documentation will be all documented for the real release.

I'll probably have better "implementation" syntax wise before release.

:) Needed mass testing :P

#344360

Thank you, pcm! I'll be waiting. Happy New Year you and all others here! (don't wait for my releases till next year too :P)
