[help] Multi Plugin Itunes problems

Hey,

I just installed the MPlugin for iTunes a few days ago. It was working fine for a while then all of a sudden (Today) iTunes wouldn't open. I double click on the icon and it would act like it's loading but then iTunes doesn't open and nothing happens. I've treid unistalling/reinstalling many times. I've treid reinstalling quicktime. And nothing works. Quicktime is also screwed it opens but only for like half of a second then closes does anyone what this problem could be?

Thanks allot for the help.

There are so many issues with answers there could be for that but your best bet is to just look around here for the problem that is most like yours: http://discussions.apple.com/forum.jspa?forumID=800

try not to double post

Ok well thx for the help. It seems that the problem has to do with spyware so it's going to be annoying to remove. At least now i know it wasn't the plug-in.

yea I did that too booted into safe mode and removed through the DOS prompt and everything and it didn't work, but my system was clean after that, which was nice. But I did everything on that forum and nothing worked it just started working on it's own again for some reason haha

I'm having a problem with Multi-Plugin 2.5. This problem also happened with v. 2.4.2. A few people posted a similar problem on thread 38334, I believe (a thread for v. 2.4.2).

First of all, when I begin to install Multi-Plugin, I get this message: "Setup has detected that this version of Multi Plugin may not be compatible with your iTunes version. Would you like Setup to check if an update is available? You may install Multi-Plugin without updating it, but it might render iTunes unusable and iTunes will need to be reinstalled."

So I select "Yes, check for an update". Then I get this message: "Setup could not find any updates for Multi-Plugin at this time. You may install the version of Multi-Plugin provided in the installer by clicking Next."

Then Multi-Plugin installs with no problem. But when I try to open iTunes, I get this message: "The procedure entry point EnumServicesStatusA could not be located in the dynamic link library MPlugin.dll".

In thread 38334, someone said they got the message: ""The procedure entry point CryptAcquireContextW could not be located in the dynamic link library MPlugin.dll""

Last night I searched till my eyes went square, looking for a newer version of "mplugin.dll". I found an older one (from 2004), but no newer or more functional one. I also found a post from Localhost, that said "It appears that I put MPlugin.dll v2.3 there. I've reuploaded the proper file, you can get it now. Sorry." I couldn't make sense of that, or find where that "proper file" was uploaded.

I know I'm a clueless newbie, and I apologize for that. But Multi-Plugin sounds so cool! I really would love to use it!

Can anyone help me?

I have the same problem. After I have installed Multi plugin 2.5.1 and I try to start Itunes 7.4.1 I get the following error message:

The procedure entry point EnumServicesStatusA could not be located in the dynamic link library MPlugin.dll.

I have absolutely NO idea what that means or how to fix it, so if anyone can help I would appreciate it. Thanks!

Man, you guys need to read >_>

Check the first post in the newest multiplugin thread. See the version? 7.0.2 is the latest iTunes version that will work with it.
