I noticed that even after applying new themes for Visual Style, there're broken lines around buttons.
As such,

Does anyone know how to get rid of those lines in any way?
Like registry editing or skinning?

under folder options there is a way to disable that dotted selection on buttons... i think it is in folder options...
Open Display Properties, go to the Appearance tab and click on Effects..
In the Effects dialog box, uncheck 'Hide underlined letters for keyboard navigation'
That should remove the dotted boxes....but unfortunately it's not perfect and those damn things still come up from time to time

Thanks a lot!
Never thought of looking into native Windows settings...haha
So the effect states thus:
"Hide underlined letters for keyboard navigation until I press the Alt key"
After checking this effect,
it appears when you hit [ALT] or [TAB].
I guess if we navigate through mouse ALL THE TIME, then it won't reappear.
...wonder if we can do it in the RegEdit....wonders...
Heheheh we have tried several times before....but not been successful. Seems like it's hardcoded into Windows....that just blows...
