rklauncher causing powerdvd video to not show up

after I installed rklauncher I noticed that when ever I play a dvd I have to unload rklauncher or else I can't get the video to come up on my screen, it will play fine over svideo, but not on my computer monitor. I have had this issue in the past with other applications and it usually has to do with using transparency in an application. I have transparency set to opaque and it still wont play, but when i unload rklauncher the video plays. I was wandering if there was a way to fix this. Can a menu option be added that will completely turn off transparency? Any other solutions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Josh

I am using a nvidia 6600 graphics card with the newest drivers if that helps.

I no longer need this fix, I just tried out vlc media player. It works well, and it actually works while running rklauncher. So I dont need a fix for this. But you might want to consider working on it for future versions so it doesn't affect other users. Thanks for such a wonderful free application. Open Source and freeware is where the world is headed.

Thanks to all

just a quick question... where do you have your rklauncher located? ..like on which site of the screen and on which side the windows-taskbar?

this should really go into bug reports... can someone please merge that?

I have it centered at the top of the screen, my taskbar is at the bottom of the screen. I also am not using any transparency settings.

Ah, well then it isn't a bug in RKLauncher after all. See, Powerdvd brings its own little taskbar that allows you to play/stop the movie. If the windows-taskbar is on top it will show a message that it relocated the powerdvd-taskbar to the left. However, it doesn't appear to notice RKLauncher and that probably screws it up.

Are you sure, I only see that taskbar when I play full screen, i was trying to play it in a windowed mode. and i have had this transparency issue with other apps not at the top of the screen. Apps such as trillian and rainlander. But only when I had transparency turned on with them. I disable it and it works fine.
