[Request] iTunes Graphite Skin
I have been searching for one also as well, but no dice. It was requested here earlier but no one seems interested in it. As a huge graphite fan I've searched the whole web and not come across one for Itunes on Windows, good luck making it and maye just maybe you'll share with us. somewhere over the rainbow ... well, someone finally did ... ... don´t know if i have to start a new thread, because it´s a "release"?
it´s just an edited version of the default mac osx skin that comes with multiplugin. but not "black and white". it´s graphite, i think... i made that skin for myself, because i also like graphite most and didn´t find something like that. so maybe there are some things other people might not like:
- miniplayer: i use the miniplayer at the bottom of my screen. so the background bitmap doesn´t have the default rounded shape at the bottom.
- caption buttons: those buttons are hidden in inactive state. in miniplayer mode they appear, when the player is in active state. in normal window mode they only appear on mouseover. so be careful *g*... don´t activate iTunes by clicking that area. you´ll accidently shut down iTunes... but i added the default buttons for inactive and normal state (for the default iTunes window). if you don´t like the clean interface or can´t handle those hidden buttons, simply replace them.
- icons: i "deleted" the icons for library, video, radio, audio cd (the icons shown under "source"). the little speaker showing the currently playing track is now an arrow. the other icons are default. i didn´t change any other icon, because i´ve never seen one of them for years *g*.
- status bar buttons: nothing blue, nothing graphite... just grayed out a little bit darker than in inactive state.
one thing i can´t do for you is the highlight color of playlist/browse items. and if anything is blue in this world, it´s iTunes' highlight color *g*... but there´s a way to change that color, too: hex-editing iTunes.exe. here´s a little tutorial: klick me. it´s written for iTunes 4, but it works for iTunes 6.0.2.23 as well. use hexedit, search for "3D3D 8080 DFDF" and kill it... no, "kill it" means replace it!... you´ll need photoshop or something like that to get the hex-code of your desired colors.
anyway, here´s a litlle preview of the skin: preview of the skin *g*
(the equalizer isn´t "really" skinned at the moment, because in iTunes 6.0.2.23 it doesn´t like multiplugin 2.2. localhost gave us an updated multiplugin.dll, that ignores the equalizer window. you can get that file in his thread.)
