they can if you have DVI out on your video card. its an extra ADC to DVI adapter (99.00) for it.
...Then you have to use a DVI to VGA adapter if you don't have a DVI slot on your card like me. The two adapter cost $200 together, pushing the cost for a bottom of the line 17" flat panel to $899. I suggest that you not get it, its a waste of money unless you're also buying a new mac.
