Reflective Albumart

For iTunes

(if someone gives me a WORKING and easy way to get the albumart/filename for winamp, I'll do a winamp one)

Description

This desklets shows the current albumart from iTunes on your desktop, but it does a nice reflection-effect to it.

Notes

You can edit settings.ini to change the reflection parameters. Duplicate or reload the desklet to let the changes take effect.

Be sure to close the widget before closing iTunes. A version that autodetects iTunes closing is coming soon if I get some code from herd ;)

one thing id like to add as a bug....when in playlist or when you press forward in itunes to another song the album art isnt displayed....is there a fix for this?

I get the same bug - every time you hit "next" the widget shows "no art"

when you hit "next" again you see the album art (you actually see it for every second song) :slant:

Problem will probably be fixed tomorrow - when I get some sample code from herd hopefully that helps me resolve some issues :)

also ave can you make the widget have some sort of overlay function so people can add cd covers and stuff to the album art....or just have frames with rounded edges

I think that avetunes could be reincarnated through this widget.....id certainly like this to be adapted so that it has the same features as avetunes as avetunes is a bit of a mess now....with synching errors and whatnot (album art doesn't change and it doesnt respond to tracks being played....also one feature that would be nice is if avetunes replaced the miniplayer window....that'd be nice)...a bit off the point there but i think some people also want the same thing (atleast i think so)

I second the idea by Zondazag (in fact I was thinking of it, but I guess I reached late here.. ;))... anyway, it would be damn cool to be able to add CD cover or frames (ones like Zondajag showed) !!
