X-Finder B 4.5 update
in later versions, when the skinning ability is added, will it be possible to skin it to match the dimensions of the osx finder 1:1? cause in it's current standing, the finder looks a bit "off" with it's borders being wider, and the placement of the trafficlight, amongst other things as well..
does anyone get a lot of random termination of the program whilst using it?
me thinks buggier than previous updates with the implementation of new features but continue working at it, it'll be big

I dont want to be a killjoy here but i think we are in danger of seeing another "to much to Quick" app here, what i mean by that is this app seems to have come on in leaps and bounds in a short space of time and it may be just my computer but the new version with all the new features works worse that the first version, ive just rebooted after a major crash while trying the new version and i mean major crash.it takes a long time to develop a stable working app just ask Ave or Raduking.

Unfortunately, I'm experiencing some of the same issues. It crashes often. Accessing Finder Settings will crash the program most of the time, but also making choices in the Folder Panel will crash x-finder more than half of the time.
Once these things are ironed out, this is going to be one super appilication! In fact, version 4.0 already is...

If you are on an NTFS partition, I have had amazing luck with Restorer2000 Pro http://www.bitmart.net/buy.shtml
there's a free version to try and you may find that it does the job.

Don't use the system until you try the recovery methods. Otherwise, you have a real chance of overwriting the files and making them unrecoverable.
I hope you are able to recover the code. This is a very good program. And it's well on the way to becoming a great program.

There are lots of file-restoration utilities out there. Just remember that the more you write to your drive and install, etc, the LESS chance you have of being able to recover data. Your best bet would to be to not install ANYTHING until you get your data recovered.

I get a run-time error '380' when trying to access "Finder Settings" or "Customize Toolbar" menus with the new version 4.5b
Ver. 4b doesn't give me that error.

second, i am so sorry for your lost code, you can try 'FinalData Enterprise' which could be used to recover your data on FAT/NTFS.

lol.. It's not even released yet and yet I'm compelled to throw in my two cents.. I noticed from your screenshot that the right border for the left side icons is a bit crowded compared to the left border. I suspect it's because it's required to completely hide the icon text when reduced to just an icon view. Any chance of adjusting the margins?
By the way... I really enjoyed your betas thus far.... your releases haven't yet lured me into using your finder clone in leu of explorer but I must admit, I'm always thoroughly delighted to test out your releases. Thanks for contributing, and I hope you make this the most stable and reliable finder clone yet!
WOW,i was wondering where u were?...n then u suddenly pop up with 6...gr8 job man.
been usin 5 since some time now,dunno why ppl say its unstable n stuff...its so stable,quick(u gotta turn the system date behind for it to work fast,dunno why that happens though).....
anyway...leo please emphasis on speed,its important for x-finder to be fast(faster than b4)....i think u can manage that...dont put unnecessary things into it(we already have 1:1 clones...but they r so slow)...make it usable !!
