Cant patch version 6.0.3790.2825 with most recent 2.1 patcher.

Need to patch 32-bit windows server 2003 R2 Sp2 (version 6.0.3790.2825)

Hi,

Yes Universal UXTheme Patch v2.1 fails to correctly patch uxtheme version 6.0.2900.2845 on WIndows XP SP2 English.

The file appears to be patched correctly, that is, the theme is applied like it should but any time you try and browse a directory explorer.exe crashes every single time. I know it's the patch since if I restore orginal file no such issue. Also if I apply the claissic or window xp theme then no crash.

Any idea on when this could be fixed?

I found a patched english verion. 2845 is actually sp3 alpha not sp2.

I will be updating the patcher to support the new versions sometime this weekend. I will probably also be adding Vista uxtheme support (hopefully). Note that the patcher supporting Vista does NOT mean I have any plans to develop FlyakiteOSX for Vista.

is there any way to 'unpatch' the uxtheme.dll file? can i just duplicate my original and save it somewhere else and replace it later if i want to?

Yes, I think this automatically makes a backup that you can restore later if you'd like.

Flyakite is very busy at the moment. He doesn't have much time for Flyakite, but as soon as he release the new version, his website will be open again:).
