Faster Startup
this has been asked numerous times. without knowing anything about your computer i would say go to msconfig... run-->msconfig and then to startup and take out any startup programs you dont need....
also get your latest mobo drivers and bios, also get any ide/scsi/sata controller bios and drivers for your hard disk drives. don't know about anything else without looking at your specs... also check the event log in administrative tools to see there are some problems with windows on startup..

what is slow, the process of turn on to the windows boot screen? or the windows boot screen until it finishes to load?
I sometimes get the "windows boot until it finishes to load all windows" very slow, and it is because I have too many stuff in startup.
You might want to defragment the harddrive, it speeds up a bit the loading process. If it is too slow, you might consider reinstalling windows to your pc, I do that and it clearly loads faster.
But you might want to check msconfig to remove some unuseful programs on startup and defragment the drive should help a bit.

There is an app at the Microsoft website that it supposed to help with bootup times. I think it's called BootVis. Check that out. I've never tried it, though.

BootVis works great...it's very small program however it was only designed for WinXP...
As stated above, with out seeing the system, or knowing what OS you are running makes it tough to try to diagnose.
If you are running WinXP go to this site:
Go to Tweak & Tip Database-------->System Performance...
if you're on xp, go to run --> services.msc and disable some services that you don't need running.

yeah, and try bootvis. it helped me. (Y)
for that, you'll need some specific services, so don't disable those (check black viper).
