[help] DockEx.com V3

Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to give everyone an update. DockEx.com is down due to maintenance and work putting forth for version 3.0.

During development I accidently reset some account information (First Name, Last Name, Email, Website and Password) to the members (developers) of DockEx.com. Fortunately, no docklets were lost.

If you are any of the members of DockEx.com (see listing at http://www.dockex.com) please contact me to help fix this issue and move forward with version 3.

Ok. DockEx V3 (beta) is now up and running.

Still in beta with new design and features:

[docks/docklets]

- docklets are now under categories for better navigation (i took the time to categories the 81 docklets in the database to start with)

- docks can be moderated by the owner to update its information and link.

Andreasv: you should see AveDesk under "my docks"

- navigation is now AJAX'ified to quickly find your docklet and download

[news]

- i liked the idea from digg.com and wanted to develop one that is focused to this community to allow anybody to post their "community" related story

- anyone can post, and hit any news. depending on the hits the backend algorithm determines what stories are promoted to the frontpage and sections for top news is also available.

- any news you hit or post will automatically be addded under "my news" kind-of like a bookmark station

[members]

- the site is now open to everyone (not only docklet developers) to allow at least users to post news stories.

- users can have their own avatars
