[help] inactive link to flash gallery in ie

i have recently designed a site that works flawlessly in firefox and all but when in internet explorer a link to flash photo gallery page is inactive. nothing is dead, it is validated, there no errors, yet the link itself doesn't direct me to the photo gallery page. the flash gallery was built using flash1 template in photoshop cs2. the link points to index.htm in photo gallery folder which is placed in root.

it all happens in ie, there absolutely no problems in firefox, mozilla, opera, netscape. i have also opened directly index.htm file of the abovementioned flash gallery folder with ie and it works great, but still when whole page is opened in ie, it doesn't work.

help appreciated, please. thanks all for contributing.

I'm still a bit confused...it's just a plain link? How is Flash involved? Or do you have a link inside a .swf file that successfully redirects in Ffox but not IE?

Please elaborate .

there is separate folder called web flash gallery, which contains the whole flash gallery mechanism, and besides, an index.htm file, which when called by any browser launch the flash presentation.

the home.htm, which is my homepage for this site, as well as other pages in root contain a link that point to index.htm in web flash gallery folder.

Alright, it might not be too convenient, but change index.htm to default.htm, and tell me if that works with IE.
