I completely agree - people should let the mods do their job and shut up. almost every thread I read these days is "uhoh I hear Ube coming" or "your thread title is useless and you'll get banned"!!

now what I was thinking a little time ago: Maybe it would be possible to have a little dropdown where you can select the tag you want to use? This would make it easier to search for something too

People are idiots (including myself) and there's nothing you nor i can do about it. As long there's people with no brain posting idiotic threads (with idiotic titles) there's gonna be mod wannabes.
What i don't get is HOW HARD can it be to spend 2 SECONDS looking at these forums, seeing how 99% of the threads are tagged/titled and posting accordingly?
People usually ask others to spend some time looking/uploading/linking for them while they won't do one single thing to assist the community (even in such a minor way as posting correctly and keeping the forums clean).
I suggested some changes to the way we hadnle these and other kinds of minor yet annoying offenses but as a mod, there's only so much i can do. Tim's God of this community

I get what you mean but you have to realise the point from my previous post. There will always be wannabes.
And the report function is hilarious sometimes! I can't even remember how many times i got "reports" with jibberish contents or "me wants TheSe 1c0nz" and such crap.
But all in all, this is still by far my fav community

Well, the worst part of it is when experienced members don't tag. That's just unforgivable .
The problem with the Report feature is that it doesn't send alerts to the mods' cell phones...they have to be checking their email. And email is outdated .
So, yeah. Nice to see you posting again a bit Tricky.

in some way everybody is right with his opinion here.
some days ago i opened a thread and the first post was "... you will be grilled for that thread!"
other was nice, ignored that and tried to help. so i thought it could not be any problems. hours ago the thread was closed. in fact i don't know why, exatly. probably the title was to idiotic ("who knows...?") or i didn't use tags...!
the mods are angry about the fact some are not using their brain and members ignore this and just want helping each others and poor wannabes. maybe cause they remind their own experience in the beginning at this forum.
but like in other communities (dictatorship as well) are rules to make life easier. and if people ignore that rules to often the punishment is a result.
Seriously.... I'm not saying it's complete baseless suggession, but not entirely valid either.... I do understand some people posting "Unbe's gonna bite ya" and "Your thread lacks 'blah' and 'blah' so mods gonna have field day with u" stuff can really be annoying. But some people post in sheer goodwill, so that you know about rules and edit your post before mods does, this not only saves mod's work but also comes handy for thread-starter to not make same mistake again.
Offcourse, like Unbe said.. people are idiots, and you can't do anything about it. But please also note that not all people are idiots, some are trully trying to help and some are just having fun. Understand the difference and be happy !!
Mods are idiots too... admins are the only ones that are perfect.
