ftp = file transfer protocol
if you have a webspace, then it came with ftp to upload the files
do you have server space that u pay for or your personal comp?
I'm not sure i don't pay so my personal computer i suppose shall i get a screenshot of it for you…?
do you understand what a server is? once you've built your website you need to either have your computer connected to the internet and set up as a server, or upload your files for your website to a server using FTP. Spaces on such servers can be bought from hosting companies. Sorry if you knew this already, just trying to work out wherre you are at with this.
i can help you setup a server on your comp, if u havent already.
no i havent i don't know how to! it's very confusing;|
ok
the only way to view a website is by setting up your mac for viewing on the web. you can do this in System Preferences > Sharing and check Personal Web Sharing
then you can export locally to your sites folder. then find out what your ip address is [you can use the application Network Utility in the Utilities folder of the Applications folder] and type that into your browser. to view the specific site in YOUR sites folder just type the ip address then add /~YOURUSERNAME where YOURUSERNAME is your user name ![]()
O.k i still don't fully understand lol check them out to tell me :
