New System Files...?

Has anyone made any updated System Files?

I know Flyakite made some wicked one's not too long ago, but a pile of Windows patches has been released since so I'm hesitant to install them.

theres a snow e2 shell32 and few msginas around but thats it. flyakite is the best and most complete one out there

All the system files work fine. They only replace those files during Service Packs, and SP2 isnt due for a while. Dont worry, nothing to fear.

i remember one of the updates replaced my shell32.... i didnt update windows anymore after that. <_

I know they replace more then just SP1 files...

When I just installed the latest IE patch it replaced a few of the files I remember seeing in Flyakite's pack. I had to re-format so I had to do all the updates again, after I installed them the first time I never visited Windows Update for fear of something going wrong!

I think I'll go write a quick batch file to backup my current files just in case.

im talking about the system files, not the program replacements, like iexplore.exe, etc. Yeah, the programs get updated.

actually that latest update thing seemed to replace my modded netshell.dll with the original. and it was only after i did that update and it hasn't happened since... so it looks like every once in a while, a normal windows update patch might replace the modded dll files...
