Nasty shadowleftovers..

Since I have installed Windowblinds 5 on my pc, I'm getting these nasty shadows that remain on the screen (see attachment).. I have removed Windowblinds and the problem persists.. Any ideas how to remove this?

Using Windows XP Pro SP 2.

yeah, i've had to deal with that with windowfx sometimes. rebooting or logging off should do it.

i got those when i used yzshadow. i would just go into yzshadow and click a random thing and then unclick it (to refresh) and apply and it would be gone.

well.. i don't use yzshadow, and i already tried rebooting.. just does not work..

Sounds like you have some weird graphics problems. What gfx card are you using and what driver version?

Also, are you trying to use WindowsFX with WB5? Because if so, the current release of WindowsFX does NOT work with WB5 and that could be causing the problem. Stardock is planning to release an updated WindowsFX version sometime in later December.

No I'm not using WindowsFX or anything from that sort. Just the Flyakite OSX v3.0 beta 1, but the problem existed before I had the beta too..

Wait, so if the problem existed before you had Flyakite then this doesn't have anything to do with Windowblinds.

I have gotten those shadows sometimes when Windows doesn't redraw the space where windows that I have closed/minimized/moved once were so that the shadow is left behind. It's pretty clear that those shadows *must* be coming from somewhere. Maybe check to make sure you aren't running some other application that is shadowing your windows.
